About the Academy
Continuing education for psychologists who want to do the work better—not simply collect the credit.
Assessment Academy was created for psychologists who assess. Whether you are actively practicing, returning to assessment after time away, or learning to move beyond test administration into stronger clinical reasoning, you deserve professional education that respects what you already know—and gives you something useful to do with it.
Programs begin with the foundations, then go further: refining familiar concepts, examining where they become complicated in real cases, and translating them into better clinical decisions. Expect research without the information dump, practical tools you can integrate into your work, and the occasional real-world detour that makes the teaching point more interesting.
Because a continuing education program should leave you with more than another slide deck destined for a digital drawer. You should leave with a sharper question, a useful resource, or an idea you can bring to tomorrow’s case.
Come for the learning. Come back for the assessment community.
Assessment professionals can be surprisingly isolated. Assessment Academy is building a recurring place for psychologists to learn alongside others who understand the work—people interested in thoughtful diagnostic reasoning, stronger practice, and the questions that do not always have tidy textbook answers.
Assessment Academy is designed primarily for psychologists and psychologists-in-training. Select programs may also be appropriate for school psychologists and professionals in related medical, mental health, and assessment disciplines. Please review individual program descriptions for eligibility, instructional level, and continuing education information.
Advisory Committee
The Academy engages an advisory committee to help shape the direction of the training programs. Because the Academy was started with a single instructor, the advisory committee was recruited for the purposes of auditing workshop content to ensure compliance with sponsorship standards and be available for grievance remediation. Dr. Kaity Jeanty and Dr. Krista Mancarella are current members of the Academy advisory committee and volunteer intermediaries for grievance remediation. They also both serve to audit workshops and workshop materials to ensure fidelity to consideration of ideas from those of diverse backgrounds and maintaining inclusive learning environments.
