About
Since the COVID-19 Pandemic, it has become much more common, permissible, and (often) convenient for psychologists to see clients via virtual platforms. While there are pros and cons to telehealth interventions identified by therapists, the ability to complete psychological assessment has received far less attention. However, there has been some research conducted demonstrating the benefits and pitfalls of virtual psychological assessment when it comes to the reliability and validity of the results, which will be reviewed in this workshop. Further, this program will review some of the legal and ethical considerations in conducting such assessments. Technical guidance will also be reviewed for various assessment administrations, demonstrating the best guidance adaptations that would be required to maintain integrity of the assessment. Objectives: Describe legal and ethical considerations of virtual assessments Identify where to find best practice guidance for adjustments required for virtual assessment. Plan virtual assessments of reliable integrity
