About

Welcome to the refresher series! You've got the big, fancy degree. You've had training in assessment. But maybe also you want to brush up on the fundamentals? You came to the right place. This brief refresher series will focus on psychological assessment fundamentals so that you have theoretical and operational knowledge to feel more confident in selecting your battery, completing your administration, and interpreting the results in a way that helps your client. We can’t fit everything you learned about assessment in grad school into 6 hours, but we're gonna try! In this session, we will focus on: Projective & executive functioning tools The session is designed to provide a consolidated amount of information to jog your memory for what you already know, prioritize the most useful assessment concepts, and give you your assessment confidence back. You will also have access to a private groups page so that you can consult with the instructor and colleagues after the workshop so that you can always circle back to find resources, chat with the instructor, and collaborate with peers. Learning Objectives:  1. Describe the theoretical basis and appropriate role of projective measures in multimethod assessment. 2. Identify executive functioning constructs commonly evaluated in psychological assessment. 3. Evaluate strengths and limitations of projective and executive functioning measures. 4. Determine when specialized assessment tools may provide clinically meaningful information.
